Move on…!

Many among us have huge baggages of past failures, hurtful memories, broken relationships, difficult journeys, abuses – and it becomes very difficult to live past those memories. These for many among us stay as heavy weights tied up to our feet that drag us down – lower and lower into the pit of hopelessness and discouragement especially when we are trying to take a leap upwards towards a brighter future. What on earth can we do to change our past? The answer is nothing!

Playing the blame game on people, society, system can never help us get out of it. For we cannot change a single human being on Earth! When I was struggling through a very difficult challenge in my life, a very sweet sister adviced me – “Jesse move on!” And this is what I remind myself almost every time I am getting consumed in the quicksand of the past memories – “Jesse..wait.. Move on!”
I can do nothing about yesterday yet I can choose to live for today and tomorrow. If there is anything that has been hunting you down, something that no man can understand it’s time you give that broken toy into the hands of Jesus and move on… Move On..!

This reminds me of the song,
Are you tired of chasing pretty rainbows
Are you tired of spinning round and round
Wrap up all the shattered dreams of your life
And at the feet of Jesus lay them down

Give them all (give them all)
Give them all (give them all)
Give them all to Jesus
Shattered dreams, wounded hearts, broken toys
Give them all (give them all)
Give them all (give them all)
Give them all to Jesus
And He will turn your sorrows into Joy

He never said you’d only see sunshine
He never said there’d be no rain
He only promised us a heart full of singing
That’s the very thing that once brought pain

Give them all (give them all)
Give them all (give them all)
Give them all to Jesus
Shattered dreams, wounded hearts, broken toys
Give them all (give them all)
Give them all (give them all)
Give them all to Jesus
And He will turn your sorrows into joy
